Head Coach Chris Springer

We would like to welcome Coach Chris Springer as the new Blazer Mat Club head coach. Coach Chris resides in the Douglassville area and has a son in the program this year.

Coach Chris was a four year varsity wrestler at Ursinus College and was a hundred winner wrestler. After graduating from Ursinus College, he became head coach of the Upper Dublin Middle School wrestling team for four years. Coach Chris is familiar with Daniel Boone wrestling since he spent four years as an assistant wrestling coach for the Daniel Boone High School wrestling program. Coach Chris will start coaching the kids after Wednesday practice on 8 November. In the interim, I will run practices until 8 November and then hand over the reins over to Coach Chris. Coach Chris will be coaching both novice and advance groups. The Blazer Mat Club is looking forward to working with Coach Chris this year and helping make the kids the best they can be.

The Blazer Mat Club would also like to thank both Coach Darrin and Coach Matt for their time and effort in coaching the kids this past year. They drove an hour each way to coach the kids and we appreciate all that they did for the program.
