The Blazer Mat Club is the home youth wrestling organization for the Daniel Boone Area School District. We specialize in coaching athletes in grades K-6. The BMC hosts a Novice practice (3 years or less experience) and an Open practice (greater than 3 years experience). Pre season practices begin in October, and provide an opportunity for new athletes to try the sport, and help ease returning athletes into the season. Following registration, our season last from November through March with practices held twice a week. We expect our athletes to also participate in our Friday Night League Matches in January and February (no fees required).  We focus on teaching and developing the fundamentals of wrestling. Our goal is to encourage all of our athletes to conduct themselves with sportsmanship, participate with enjoyment, and foster a love for the sport that will inspire the athletes to continue their wrestling careers beyond the elementary years. We participate in the Berks County Wrestling League in accordance to their bylaws (which may be presented for review upon request).
