Now that the Little League World Series is over, and we need to start planning for 2019 season. There have been some rumblings about the selection of umpires for the Texas East State Tournaments.
In 2018, we only received 26 applications. There are 24 slots that need to be filled for the divisions of 8-9-10, 9-10-11, Majors, Intermediate, Juniors and Seniors.
This is a reminder that umpires who wish to participate in a World Series need to go thru several steps (ie. State and Regional tournaments).
The first step is to attend a state tournament and be evaluated. You can find the required form to request a State Umpire position on the Umpire Link page below; the form must be submitted by December 1, 2018 for Texas East State.
