Minor Girls

Only the Official 2018 Little League Softball rule book will apply. There are no amendments or additions. 

***An inning will end when the offensive team has scored 5 runs or 3 outs are recorded, whichever happens first as per the 2016 rulebook. ***Continuous batting order must be used during all Minor League games (baseball or softball.)

Machine Pitch Girls

***An inning will end when the offensive team has scored 5 runs or 3 outs are recorded, whichever happens first as per the 2016 rulebook. ***Continuous batting order must be used during all Minor League games (baseball or softball.)

1. Pitching machine at 35 feet from Home plate set at _35_ MPH.

2. 8 balls maximum pitched to batter with exceptions: A. 8th pitch or subsequent pitches are fouled off B. Machine throws a bad pitch; that pitch does not count towards total of 8.

3. Batter either strikes out swinging, (no called strikes), puts the ball in play or reaches maximum # of pitches to end an at bat.

4. No stealing or advancing on past balls from pitching machine to catcher. Bunting will be allowed.

5. A batted ball that strikes the adult pitching machine operator, the pitching machine or the bucket of balls for the pitching machine will be immediately declared a dead ball and the batter as well as any base runners will be awarded 1 base.

6. Once a batted ball has been fielded and is either returned to the infield (in vicinity of an appropriate defensive player) or a play has been attempted by an infielder, (of a ball put in play into the infield), there will be no advancement of base runners, (including the batter), past the base they are the closest to.

7. Continuous batting order will be used.

8. In the event a team has only 10 players present, the 10th player can be placed as a 4th outfielder and must play at same depth as the other 3 outfielders.

9. Games will be 6 innings. An inning ends when 3 outs have been recorded or 5 runs score.
