II. Risk Management and Abuse Prevention Training (Required)
All head coaches, assistant coaches, team managers, and any other adult with a role on a Challenge team must be "risk managed", which means complete and pass North Carolina Youth Soccer Association (NCYSA)'s Risk Management/Abuse Prevention system. This must be done before practices start and you MUST notify your area administrator so they can begin the process of Risk Management and perform a background check.
Please contact your Age Group Administrator for the NCYSA Risk Management/Abuse Training application.

In response to the federal law enacted on February 14, 2018, all team officials are required to complete the Abuse Prevention Training video and quiz prior to being added to a challenge team roster and to be validated with their team official card. Team officials are required to complete the child abuse training program and a background check before they can volunteer/coach/represent NCFC Youth.
III. Coaches Meeting
Challenge Coaches should plan on attending the pre-season Coaches Meeting. You will receive an email with the date, time, and location of the meeting in advance. Challenge Director Brett Malone will address important changes, updates and information for the upcoming season.
