Why Design Thinking and Serving Others?
Through Design Thinking, you will identify real life problems and collaboratively generate solutions. Solutions strategically designed around people's needs. By following such a unique strategy, your solutions are impactful 100% of the time. Such type problem solving strategies are executed by leadership in successful and sustainable organizations.
These skills are largely sought after by emerging and established organizations and entrepreneurs. ASA partners with community organizations to better help us identify larger needs. Your experiences with design thinking will create in you a skill set that prepares you to mindfully seek unmet opportunities and provide viable solutions. All with the confidence that you are making this world a better place.
Finally and most importantly, as part of design thinking, you Serve Others by creating unique solutions only after you fully understand the needs of those you serve. This allows time for you to empathize with those needs. Rest assured that you will completely understand the who, what, and why of any service you participate. This unique skill set is combined with your own talents, skills, and passions. As you practice using all of these skills, you will emerge as an individual that any organization or business would bid to have on their team.
