Week 5

The Smithfield Packers Youth Sports cheer and football teams were on the road for week 5 play with a majority of the teams making the trip to the Gloucester Transportation Fields for play against the hosting Gloucester Knights. The 06U Blue team set the tone for the day with an early 19-0 victory. Although the 08U team fell, the 10U and 12U teams chalked up victories of 13-0 and 35-0.

In Yorktown, the 14U team was victorious over the Tri-City Hurricanes in a 7-6 contest. Lastly in Williamsburg, the 06U Gold team fell in a close game against the Back River Bulls with the only points being scored in the last minutes of regulation.

For week 6 the 06U Blue/12U teams will head to the Fitzgerald Middle School Field to face the Tri-Citi Hurricanes while the 06U Gold team will travel to Crittenden Middle School to face Deer Park. The 08U/10U/14U squads will have a BYE week.
