Board Members Meet With Mayor Bowman

President Derek Boone, Treasurer Sean Kelly, and Smithfield Packers Youth Sports Grandparent Dwain Rodman met with Mayor Steve Bowman and Amy Novak of Parks and Recreation to discuss planned improvements to field 6 at the Luter Sports Complex.

It was a very positive initial meeting with the new mayor hearing from us, and our concerns, for the first time in his tenure.

We discussed prior meetings and discussions, present architectural plans, and the estimated shortfall in the town budget. Additionally, Ms. Novak is going to review possible changes to the structure and any associated cost savings.

Future discussions are expected.

Smithfield Packers Youth Sports is a proud member of the Peninsula Youth Football and Cheerleading Organization.
