Week Nine

The Smithfield Packers Youth Sports 12U team hosted the visiting HR Hokies (Orange), the Gloucester Knights, and the Churchland Tigers to the Luter Sports Complex this past weekend. The 06U Blue team was on a bye week, while the 06U team defeated the visiting Hokies 13-0, the 08U/10U/12U teams defeated the visiting Gloucester Knights, and the 14U team fell to the visiting Churchland Tigers.

Doubling as the SPYS Homecoming/Sponsor day offensive/defensive/cheer MVPs were named in a ceremony after each game which was held in the Southwest endzone following the conclusion of each contest.

Next week the Packers will be on the road with the 06U Blue team heading to Coventry Elementary to play the Back River Bulls (Black) team, the 06U Gold and 08U teams headed to Williamsburg to face the Williamsburg Hornets and the HR Hokies (Maroon) teams, and the 10U/12U/14U teams will be headed to Tabb Middle school where the 10U/12U teams will face the Grafton-Tabb Tigers and the 14U team will face the Tri-Citi Hurricanes.

Times and Opponents are subject to change.
