2023 Super Bowl

Smithfield Packers Youth Sports sent two teams to the 2023 PYFCO Super Bowl this past weekend to Poquoson Middle School. The 06U #3 Smithfield Packers (Blue) defeated the 06U #4 Grafton-Tabb Tigers 12-6 in 2OT to claim the Championship, with CaTai Clary being named defensive player of the game and Kyrie Wiggins the offensive player of the game.  From the 06U/08U cheer squads in attendance, Jaylah Tucker (06U) was named 'Most Spirited', while Traniece Cupid (08U) was awarded 'Best Technique'.

In afternoon play, the 14U #3 Smithfield Packers fell to the 14U #1 Tri-Citi Hurricanes.  Brody Smith was named defensive player of the game and Mekhi Thomas was named offensive player of the game.  From the 14U cheer squad, Trinitee Bynum was named 'Most Spirited' while Timell Edwards was awarded 'Best Technique'.

While this concludes the 2023 PYFCO fall season, several football teams are planning to attend the Holiday Bowl in Richmond, VA (Dec 1-3); the 06U Blue team is planning to attend the 2023 UYFL Championships in Plant City, FL; and the Cheerleading Squads are planning to attend the Cheer Stop and Shake Competition in Portsmouth, VA.  All events will be updated on https://www.facebook.com/SmithfieldPYS/events as further details and updates become available.
