2023 Michael Minor Holiday Bowl

Smithfield Packers Youth Sports sent the 10U/12U/14U teams to Richmond for the 2023 Michael Minor Holiday Bowl this past weekend.

The 10U team struck victory against the Elite Lions 7-0 on Friday, but fell to the War Seminoles Elite on Saturday afternoon. The 12U fell in early Saturday plat to Storm Elite, while winning the first round of the consolation bracket 14-6 over the Ballstars, but falling in the final round on Sunday to SHA United.

The 14U team came up big in a pair of victories on Saturday defeating the RVA Bulldogs 35-12, and the North Jersey Crushers 38-0 to clinch the bowl championship title and trophy.

Next week the 06U Blue Flag team will be heading to Plant City, FL for the 2023 UYFL Championships. The team is has a donation on the SPYS Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/SmithfieldPYS) for anyone interested in assisting them with offsetting travel costs.
