Although SCAA is a recreational league focused on all skill levels, we do try to grow and support higher-level players.SCAA Sunday Select Baseball Teams are known as the "Thunder".SCAA Travel Softball Teams are all known as the "Lightning".SCAA Sunday Select Softball Team is known as the "Riot".Sunday Select and Travel are optional programs provided by SCAA for those players wanting to compete at a higher level of play or obtain additional instruction which is often times at a higher level, as well. All-Star Teams are formed at the end of the Spring season for all those that displayed and performed at exemplary levels throughout the Rec season. Try-outs are held for all three advanced levels of teams.
Select teams are typically privately managed, year-round groups formed from open tryouts with gameplay and practices being held in addition to SCAA's regular league play. Practices and games usually occur on Sundays so that they do not interfere with regular games. Players are required to be currently playing regular SCAA league ball in order to participate.
