SCAA's Baseball Sunday Select teams are known as the "Thunder".  Teams are individually managed, year-round groups formed from open tryouts with gameplay and practices being held in addition to SCAA's regular league play. Practices and games usually occur mainly on Fridays & Sundays so that they do not interfere with regular games. Players are required to be currently playing regular SCAA league ball in order to participate.  Each SCAA division is allowed 2 teams per division, one per age group (example: Mustang is allowed a 9U & 10U team).  Teams generally roster 12 players, but may roster up to 15 players.  Younger players may play up into the higher age group, but player may not play "down" into a younger age group.  Players all 

Players in 12U & under age groups play in PONY Northeast Section's "Full Select" program, in which they do not play SCAA's rec teams but instead play other local PONY organization's Full Select teams, as well as the other SCAA Full Select Team in their division.  However all players must still register for the SCAA Spring Rec season.

Players in 13U & up play in PONY's traditional "Limited Select" program, in which players must also play in SCAA's Rec program in the Spring season.
