New Britain Little League Safety Mission Statement:
The New Britain Little League Board of Directors and Managers/Coaches places value not just in teaching the fundamentals of baseball and softball, but a strong emphasis on the health and safety of each participant.
The 2026 Season brings the following safety-related changes:
- Utilization of a new website to ensure uniform communications to all Board Members/Managers/Coaches/Volunteers/Parents to include Little League International rules, updates, etc. as well as ASAP Newsletters, Code of Conduct expectations, By-Laws of NBLL, access to the Safety Manual, Official League Forms, etc.
- New baseball/softball equipment for the 2026 season
- A formal Safety Manual
- Requirement of attendance at a Certified Clinic for all coaches
- CPR/First Aid/AED Training for Managers/Head Coaches
- Implementation of a Team Safety Officer
- A Field Maintenance Form
- A requirement for all coaches to have an Activities/Reporting Form(s) on hand at practices/games
