IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
1 - our season officially kicks off on TUESDAY, JULY 15th at West Side High School (900 Gerry St, Gary), time tentatively 5:30 - 7:30p
2 - we will hold camps/conditioning prior to that for those who have signed up online & made inital $100 deposit
3 - REGISTRATION is COMPLETELY ONLINE; this means you will make pymts; upload a headshot, birth certificate and report card all digitally (birth certificates will also need to be turned in if you are brand new; ORIGINALS with the raised stamp will need to be turned in later in the season for playoffs
4 - $100 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is due at sign up to secure your spot; this will be used to order your son/daughter uniform
5 - We will hold football & cheer uniform sizing during June; we will order uniforms in early July, ONLY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE MADE THE $100 DEPOSIT ONLINE
your uniforms are yours to keep, football jerseys will be personalized with players last name; you will rent the helmet & shoulder pads
6 - football equipment will be passed out starting mid July - to players who are PAID IN FULL ONLY
7 - all fees are due prior to August 1st
Season specific info
practices will be 2 hours each day; typically Mon-Thur/Fri for 1st couple weeks
after Labor day in Sept all will practice 3x week (typically Tue, Thur & Sat)
games are played on Sundays: 7 regular season games, playoffs start after
home games are played at West Side; we will also travel to other towns in NWI (schedules won't be available until mid August)
Mandatory player/cheerleader certification - AUGUST 24th (time & location TBD)
August 30th: WEEK 1 games
October 5th: Cheer Princess gala - Laporte
October 18 & 19 - 1st week of playoffs
October TBD - cheer competition
November 1 & 2 - State championship games (Crown Point)
November 7-9th: regional Cheer competition
November 8 &9: Regional games start
December 5-13 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS (North Carolina)

We are a not-for-profit organization and our revenues are devoted to the safety, support and recognition of all Gary Steelers Pop Warner participants. Uniforms, safety equipment, referees for games, maintenance, awards, cheerleading competition fees, insurance, facilities, and security are just some of the many expenses our organization incurs. The total cost to put each player and cheerleader on the field exceeds registration fees paid at sign up. The Gary Steelers Pop Warner relies on your support through fundraisers to make up the difference.
