Tony Pullins


   


Tony Pullins attended Florida Community College of Jacksonville. He currently holds the record for most three point baskets made in a career. Tony transferred to Virginia after receiving an athletic scholarship to Norfolk State University. After careful consideration he felt his talents would be better utilized in his home town. Tony joined the EWC (Edwards Waters College) Tigers in 1998 and helped lead them to their first conference championship. It was at EWC that Mr. Pullins earned many awards such as the Mens Best Offensive Player, Most Outstanding Male Athlete, 1st Team All Conference, 1st Team All Tournament.

Tony Pullins have trained top players for ACD (Arlington Country Day), Providence High, The Potters House and other local schools. Some of the players include: Antonio Lawrence, TJ Bannister, Grayson Allen, Brandon Francis, Udoka Azibuke, Mike McDougal, Louis Dorsey, Ben Bobbitt, Ladarien Griffin, Kyle Marion, Aubrey Washington, Jacob Orender, etc... I also train the top middle school players in the city.

Mr. Pullins Co-Owned and took on the role of Director of Player Personnel with the Jacksonville Blue Waves WBA (World Basketball Association). In 2010 - 2012 the JBW transitioned to the ABA and became the Jacksonville Giants. Tony became the head advanced scout and recruited 10 of 12 of the teams top players. The Giants went on to win the Southeast Championship in 2011 and the ABA Championship in 2012.

Only the fourth player in the city of Jacksonville to score over 2,000 points during
a high school career
Averaged 21 points, 11 assists, five rebounds and four steals a game as a senior
during the 2002-03 season
Shot 51 percent from the field, including 43 percent from three-point range in
2002-03 .
Averaged 17.5 points a game as a junior and 14 points a game as a sophomore .
Shot 84 percent from the free throw line for his high school career.
Earned All-State and All-Conference honors three times during his career
Played with the South Team in the USA Junior Olympics in Colorado Springs,
Colo., in the summer of 2002
Selected Player of the Year in Jacksonville as a sophomore
Selected to play in the Florida vs. Georgia High School All-Star Game.
