Recreation cheerleading is a competition cheerleading sport where participants perform a 2 minute and 30 second routine consisting of tumbling, stunts, jumps, and dance. To be considered a recreational program the team must be affiliated with the following:
a. YMCA
b. Boys and Girls Club
c. City/County Parks and Recreation Program
d. Community Youth Organization
e. Pop Warner Association
f. Any other community run program not associated with a school or all-star program
This team must also be able to prove their relationship with said organization through a letter from the organization’s President in a formal letter of endorsement. The team must have cheered for a sport with one of the above organization within that cheer season. Team members must fulfill the age requirement for the division that they are entering on/before August 31, 2016. Proof must be provided upon request.
