RBC cheerleaders and staff members are dedicated to the sport of cheerleading. Team members are chosen based on the skills they can provide to a particular team. The cheerleading world has created different cheer levels (1-4) to ensure that each team competes and is judged on how well they demonstrate a standard set of skills expected in said level for every team competing at that same level. Remember that levels are based on skill, not on age, and not based on just one element but elements within tumbling, stunting capability, jumps, and dance.

Every year RBC will determine the Division and Level each team will compete in based on the enrollment and skill level of athletes during the season.  Our goal is to allow our cheerleaders to compete at an appropriate level where they can be successful but challenged. Please remember that teams are composed of athletes that can create the best possible outcomes for stunts, tumbling, jumps, and dance skills. We cannot take 20 flyers for a 20 member team.   Also keep in mind each competition we attend is different so we hold the rights to change levels or team sizes for different competitions.

RBC encourages extra tumbling sessions or cheerleading camps to improve skills. Our organization loves to see cheerleaders expand upon previous skills in jumps, tumbling, stunting, and dance. We want your athlete to improve and advance in levels. Our organization will set up tumble sessions at certain gyms through-out the year for all athletes. Make sure to take advantage of this time!

Parents and cheerleaders should be aware that competitive cheerleading requires dedication and commitment. RBC is a travel cheerleading team and may travel out of state for 1 or more competitions. Please be aware that although these competitions may not be local they are a lot of fun for the girls as well as the parents. Cheerleading evaluations will begin in the spring with practices beginning in the summer. Practices are held 2-3 days a week for about 2 hours long. These practices are mandatory unless excused by coach. Please note we will need a Doctor’s note for all illnesses/injuries. Be aware if your child is injured we will need a written letter of when your child is allowed to return back to practices. If changes are made during this time to the routine that does not mean your child will be able to return to exact positions they were in prior to being out. Remember what is done for the team is always in the best interest of the team. We win and lose solely as a team and not individual athletes.
