Katy Pony Baseball

Katy PONY Baseball is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to providing the best youth baseball experience possible. Players range in age from 4 to 18. We offer - Certified Umpires (ages 6 and above) - Paid Concessions Personnel - Professional Groundskeepers - Professional Playing Fields - Graduated Pitching and Base Paths - Open Bases (Lead-offs, Steals, Balks) just like the Pros (ages 9 and above). We also offer a separate Open League for select or tournament teams.

Player Costs -- $205 for Shetland 4/5 (T-Ball) players. $225 for Shetland 6 (T-Ball) players. $235 per player for Pinto through Colt (ages 7-18).

Payment -- Online registration payment is by major credit and debit cards only. Walk-in registration on Jan. 13th and 20th is credit card, debit card, cash or check only. Late registration after Wed. Jan.17th is cash only (late registration waived for Colt division).

League Age -- Players are assigned to a division based on their age as of April 30, 2024. A League Age Chart can be found on our website. Requests to "play-up"; one age division may be granted for special circumstances, subject to league approval at tryouts. No play-up requests will be honored in combined age groups. Play-up requests must be handled at walk-in registration; you cannot register online if you want to request to play-up one age group.

Key Dates -- Register by January 17.  Tryouts are held for ages 6-14 to help ensure teams are competitively balanced. Tryouts for Ages 6-14 are January 20. There are no tryouts for Shetland 4/5 T-Ball and Colt. Colt teams are formed by high schools after high school tryouts. Shetland 4/5 teams are formed by elementary school attendance. All players will be assigned to a team whether or not they attend tryouts. All players should be contacted by February 1. Games begin March 18. Age divisions fill up quickly... please register early to avoid being placed on a wait list.

Late Registration -- We accept late registration, but late sign-ups may be charged a $25 late fee and you may be placed on a wait list. Late registration will be available at our facilities (Four Seasons Park). Call the office (281-371-0887) for more information and to schedule a time to late register.

Practices / Games -- Practice schedules are determined by each team. Games begin March 18. Most teams will play one game on a week night and one game on Saturdays. A double-elimination or single elimination post season tournament is planned for most teams, weather permitting.

Other Details -- Players receive a team jersey and baseball cap. Each player receives raffle tickets worth $120 to sell -- you keep the money to help offset your cost -- or submit in your name if you choose not to sell. Teams will distribute raffle tickets. You get to watch and enjoy the games... parents are not required to maintain fields, umpire games or sell food items. Experience the difference!
