The Anchor Bay Baseball Club, Inc. is a non-profit Michigan corporation. It exists to achieve the mission described above. Our teams are all named the “Anchor Bay Angels” regardless of the level of play or age of the team. We have dedicated our organization to best fit the needs of the athletes as they develop and grow. Our athletes range in age from 8 through 18 and compete in baseball and girls fastpitch softball. Our coaching staff instructs our athletes on fundamental mechanics, strategies, proper attitude and to embrace sportsmanship, competitiveness, and teamwork. Regardless of the age or sport, we strive to field competitive teams.
Our teams participate in the MABF and SMAFF federation league play, local weekend tournaments, and national tournaments. For example, our 12U baseball team travels to play in Cooperstown every year. Federation/travel ball is an essential opportunity for the development of a young ball player. It offers year around training and competition opportunities not seen in recreation ball.
The Anchor Bay Baseball Club provides each player the opportunity to perfect his or her skills through our year around training program. We have beautifully maintained outdoor fields and an indoor training facility with a clear space of over 7000 square feet. We are committed to continue the ideals of our founding members and are proud of our 20 years of developing young athletes. We take great pride and joy in the privilege of helping the athlete grow and succeed throughout his or her career.
Our roster size is minimized because we recognize the importance of playing time during games. Each athlete is given as much personal attention as possible because, aside from natural talent, the big difference seen between players at all levels is the amount of attention they received at earlier stages in development. We are committed to play athletes who have earned a spot on the team.
The success of our organization has been the result of dedicated members and parents. Their dedication has helped attract fully qualified special guest trainers to work with our players and coaches to ensure the most current technique and strategies are utilized and taught. This clearly sets us apart from many organizations. In addition, we receive support from many local businesses which sponsor individual teams which enable us to achieve many of our goals.
