Welcome to the HOME of BCAA

About our Club

Founded in 1955, the Beavercreek Community Athletic Association (BCAA) is the area's oldest youth sports organization.

Among the founders was Mr. Bob Durnbaugh, a Beavercreek native who played Major League Baseball with the Cincinnati Reds.

In the early years through the 60's and 70's, the teams played other local recreational league teams on various fields around town in Kettering and Dayton and in Beavercreek at what was then called the "New" High School and is now known as Main Elementary School.

At some point in the 1980's there were 5 diamonds established on land owned by Ervin J. Nutter on the corner of Factory Road and US Route 35 where the current Circle K and Tractor Supply are located.

Agreements were also made with the Beavercreek School District where, for many years, BCAA played on the Ferguson, Ankeney, and High School fields and the Beavercreek High School teams hosted games on the Nutter Fields at Factory and US 35.

Mr. Nutter had a passion for baseball and a love of the BCAA and when he sold his land on US 35; he made a commitment that the BCAA would "always have a place to play ball".

An agreement was made with the City of Beavercreek which created a unique public-private partnership.

The ownership of Mr. Nutter's land at 865 Factory Road, where the BCAA fields presently sit, was donated to the City and established as the Ervin J. Nutter Park with the provision that the BCAA shall have exclusive use and control of the baseball diamonds.

The ball fields and most of the structures have been built using private funds generated by the BCAA. The City of Beavercreek has contributed and they mow and maintain the common areas while the BCAA mows and maintains the ball diamonds.

The organization has always been run by volunteers, we strive to keep our fees as low and conservative as possible so that all of our kids can have fun while learning the love of America's pastime, baseball.
