HLL BASEBALL PROGRAMS (AGES 7 - 16)

Baseball League Age is determined by the birthdate cutoff: August 31, 2026

COACH PITCH

Baseball League Age: 7

Date of Birth: 9/1/2018 – 8/31/2019

Tryout: Not required (registration only)

Instructional program designed for new players and those transitioning from tee-ball. No prior baseball experience is required. Players learn the fundamentals of the game and hit from live coach pitching using non-hard baseballs.

MINOR JUNIORS

Baseball League Ages: 8 – 9

Date of Birth: 9/1/2017 – 8/31/2018

Tryout: Not required (registration only)

Transitional program that further develops fundamental baseball skills and prepares players for “player pitch” divisions. Players will learn to pitch and hit in a safe environment using non-hard baseballs.

MINOR LEAGUE

Baseball League Ages: 8 – 12

Date of Birth: 9/1/2017 – 8/31/2014

Tryout: Required for all new and returning (“rising”) players not already placed on a Minor League team (Players age 10+ must try out for Majors)

Program introduces player-pitch baseball using hard baseballs and prepares players for advanced competition at the Major League level. Roster spots are limited. Players ages 8–9 who are not drafted will be placed in Minor Juniors.

MAJOR LEAGUE

Baseball League Ages: 9 – 12

Date of Birth: 9/1/2016 – 8/31/2014

Tryout: Required for all new and “rising” players not already placed on a Major League team (Players age 10+ must try out for Majors)

Advanced program designed for players ready for the highest level of competition in the league, including faster pitching and advanced game play. Roster spots are limited. Players not drafted will be placed in the Minor League.

JUNIOR & SENIOR DIVISIONS

Junior League (Ages 13 – 14)

Date of Birth: 9/1/2011 – 8/31/2013

Senior League (Ages 15 – 16)

Date of Birth: 9/1/2009 – 8/31/2011

Program Notes (Jr/Sr Leagues):

Junior League is a transitional division preparing players for high school baseball
Senior League consists of high school–aged players and features more competitive play; travel may be required
Games played on 60/90 field
Programs are organized after enrollment
Participants must complete the same registration process as other divisions
