Parent Code of Conduct
I am a parent/guardian of an Oakdale Soccer Club player(s). I understand and agree to the following. I will:
Support my child and provide a positive environment for learning about and enjoying soccer.
Support the coaches, officials, and OSC Board Members and its agents working with my child to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all.
Encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, game officials, and OSC Board Members and its agents.
Place the emotional and physical well-being of all players ahead of any personal desire to win.
Remember that the game is for the players, not for the adults.
Require my child to treat other players, coaches, game officials, OSC Board Members and its agents, and spectators with dignity and respect.
Not interfere or attempt to ‘educate’ the coach during practices and games.
Speak with my child’s coach privately if I want or need to share any concerns or issues related to my child.
Not possess, distribute, or use alcohol, drugs, and unauthorized prescription drugs before, during, or after practices and games, or any OSC related event.
Not criticize or argue with any game official.
Not use profane language or gestures, or argue with the opposing team’s parents, players, or coaches.
Not come onto the field for any reason during the game.
Share any concerns, grievances, or issues with the Safety Director after the game.
Not request, require, or otherwise offer financial compensation to any volunteer coach, referee, or any volunteer member of OSC during the soccer season.
Not bring any pet to a practice, game, or OSC event, regardless of pet size, breed, or demeanor. I understand that OSC maintains a strict No Pets Allowed policy.
Ensure my guests understand and abide by this Code of Conduct.
I understand that OSC is managed by unpaid volunteers trying to do their best for players, families, and the community at large. I agree to support OSC in any manner I can to provide a stellar recreation soccer program for Oakdale area youth. Further, I understand that failure to comply with the OSC Parent Code of Conduct will result in my child’s suspension from OSC activities, temporarily or permanently.
