Coach Juan Jacinto - Coach J.J. began playing little league baseball out of the Pilsen Athletic Conference P.A.C. in 1986 with the Royals sponsored by then Bishop Placido Rodriguez. Played with the Pirates for two years and played 4 years of HS baseball at Quigley South/Archbishop Quigley. There he was inspired by Illinois HS Hall of Fame Coach Bill Bonk. Coach J.J. played two years at Niles College as a pitcher and the starting shortstop. He was named Rookie of the Year in 1992 and Co-MVP in 1993.
He began his coaching career in 1994 when he was the assistant Freshman coach at Holy Trinity HS. That year he also began the South Chicago Mavericks Baseball Club which played for 7 years in the Moi Flores Semi Pro Baseball League. He player managed the team to 2 Championship Series in the N.A.B.A. in West Cicero losing in 7 games in 1998, but eventually winning the Championship in 1999. He was elected as an All-Star to represent Moi Flores in 1993 representing the Aztecas. He played in the Moi Flores league with the White Sox in 2002 through 2005
From 2001 to 2004 Coach J.J. coached at Chicago HS for Agricultural Sciences in Mount Greenwood. He started as the Frosoph Head Coach and in 2002 he became the Varsity Coach. The team finished in 3rd place in the Minnie Minoso conference each year. In 2003 the Varsity team won their first ever City playoff game vs Lake View HS then lost in the Quarter-finals to Roberto Clemente H.S. In 2004 the team lost in the first round to Walter Payton
In 2007 Coach J.J. played with the Mariners in the Southwest Chicago Men's Baseball League. He became player-manager in 2009 and the team made the playoffs each year losing in the Semis in 2012 and winning two consecutive Championships in 2013 and 2014
Also in 2007 Coach J.J. began his coaching career at Midway Baseball Association with the Big Green Machine Tee-Ball team. He has coach multiple teams each year. He started The Midway Aviators Travel Baseball Program in 2014 and continues to coach
