The Aviators travel baseball program continues to provide the best travel baseball experience at the lowest cost of any travel program in the Chicagoland area. We achieve this be maintaining excellent coaching, fundraising, and working with our players and families, not replacing them with other players. We will be better in several important ways. The program will be administered by the Aviators Parent Board with specific requirements and limitations for coaches, parents and players. The program is designed for the welfare of our families and players. All coaches, parents and players attend workshops with Positive Coaching Alliance.
The Aviators believe that families benefit from minimizing travel requirements, having time available for other children, and enjoying youth baseball without a punitive financial commitment. Finally the Aviators are committed to open and fair participation in all house and travel programs. Teams will not be predetermined or exclusive, but open to all players independent of prior year participation, results and decisions. We are a no-cut program. All past year participants are invited back to play. No player will be left behind as West Lawn house league and all-star teams will continue to provide opportunities for growth and improvement. Full-time travel teams may also be created in age groups that have part-time travel if there is enough interest. All players in the Aviators program benefit when the best coaches stay inside the organization.
West Lawn needs this "middle ground" option to help keep their children playing and developing toward high school with reasonable time and financial requirements. Similarly, our house league needs opportunities for those better players to stay inside WLLL and to grow as players and people. Like our motto states, "Where every child gets to play." We are not exclusive, and continue to provide quality baseball opportunities for our neighborhood's working class families.
