Open to SELECTED 6 to 8 year old boys and 6 to 9 year old girls.
Description
The Players’ Academy EDUCO program is open to SELECTED (invitation only) 6 to 8 year old boys (2012-2010 birth year) and 6 to 9 year old girls (2012-2009 birth year) as an introduction to the forging ground that encompasses the mental, physical, technical and tactical aspects of the game of soccer. The Players’ Academy is a perfect introduction to an age appropriate soccer skill development and learning environment that will assist in forming the character traits that will serve children for the rest of their lives.

The characteristics integrated into our curriculum can be broken down into four main areas for analysis: Psychomotor, Cognitive, Psychosocial and Cognitive Development.
Typical Session
A sample typical practice as part of the Players’ Academy EDUCO program would include any of the below four pillars: Warm-Up, Session Topic, Character Development and Games.

Structure
The Players’ Academy EDUCO program will be open to SELECTED participants who will attend one session per week for a period of 12-weeks at Girsh Park Turf.
Girls
Session 1: Thursdays 4:00-5:15 pm (September 27, 2018 to December 20, 2018*)
Session 2: Thursdays 3:45-5:15 pm (January 10, 2019 to April 4, 2019)**
Boys
Session 1: Thursdays 4:00-5:15 pm (September 27, 2018 to December 20, 2018*)
Session 2:Thursdays 3:45-5:15 pm (January 10, 2019 to April 4, 2019)**
*No Session on November 22 due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
**No Session on March 28 due to Spring Break.

Fees
$175 (per player per 12-week session)
**All first-time participants must purchase a uniform Jersey/Short/Socks package for approximately $25.00. Information regarding obtaining uniforms will be given at the first training.
Payment
All registered players are responsible for remitting all fees prescribed by Santa Barbara Soccer Club Players’ Academy. Payment must me made in full prior to the start of each session. Please arrive at class 15 minutes prior to the start of each session and pick-up promptly at completion. All parents/guardians must checkout PRIOR to the end of each class. Please make sure that all friends and family members who may be signing out your child are listed as authorized pick-up persons in your account.
What to bring:
· Must bring a ball
· Wear proper soccer cleats or sneakers (closed toe) & shin guards
· Bring your Character Lesson plan book to each session. (will be distributed in the first few weeks of training/class)
· Wear Players’ Academy attire to each practice.

Refund Policy or Cancellations
If you must cancel, please do so as early as possible so that we can forward you a class credit via the mail. All ONLINE payments are non-refundable unless Santa Barbara Soccer Club cancels the class.
