All Little League volunteers are required to complete a Little League Volunteer Application and Background Check and must also complete abuse awareness training prior to assuming any of his or her duties for the 2026 season.

Little League Baseball Baseball currently offers a free online abuse awareness training. 

The Diamond Leader course is optional for regular season coaches but mandatory for all star coaches.
