- I’ve been playing for 42 years.

- Started for the Michigan Class A (top division) State Champions my senior year in high school.

- Was captain of my Albion College team my senior year.

My philosophy is to try to improve every player I coach regardless of what skill set they come to me with. I believe the most important thing you can do for a kid is get them to believe in themselves. Their confidence is the single most important attribute an athlete can have. I’ve seen some incredibly skilled players that weren’t very good soccer players and some guys who were rough around the edges who were some of the best I’ve ever faced. Once they believe in themselves they can become great. There’s no better feeling than to help a kid turn the corner and start to believe in themselves.

- I have been playing for 15 years

Player development on the field and off the field is key concept of my coaching. I try to teach that teamwork will win games, and I also try to teach players to trust in themselves and their teammates. I love to see players develop through the season and beyond to accomplish their goals.

- I have played soccer for 49 years

My coaching philosophy is to create an environment of competitive respect, sportsmanship and constant improvement by providing passionate, positive and appreciative coaching that is number based with a consistent message/style that is age and skill level appropriate.

My goal is to develop creative, confident well rounded “1 v 1” players that understand the team is greater than the individual. Encouraging team members to recognize and react to situations that will benefit the team during play. Inspiring greater effort and nurture passion based on improvement due to a better understanding of the game and learned skills.
