MIDLAND PARK BASEBALL ASSOCIATION
The Midland Park Baseball Association runs two programs - Recreation Baseball and Travel Baseball.
The cornerstone of our league. Instructional, age appropriate baseball. Teams are comprised of Midland Park children and children attending school in Midland Park. At some age levels, we will play recreation games against other towns, such as Waldwick. Players are guaranteed a minimum of playing time. League runs from early April to early June. Anyone interested in playing Travel ball must also participate in this league.
The main spring/summer travel programs are on a more competitive basis and that making the team does not guarantee playing time. We as a league try to stress your child’s improvement through practice and our in town recreation leagues. Playing time is strictly within the manager’s discretion and we as a league adhere to these guidelines as stated in the Travel By-laws. Please review the Travel By-laws with your child and make sure he or she understands prior to signing up at this level.
We expect Midland Park Town Travel Baseball to be the first priority for travel baseball. We know many kids have joined Club Baseball teams but we expect a commitment from those kids that if there is a conflict, the town team comes first. We schedule a lot of baseball for our travel teams and need to make sure we have the kids to play those games. For those children in 6th grade or lower, you must participate in the Midland Park recreation league to play Travel baseball. For those in 7th and 8th grade, you must play on the Middle School team or in the rec program to play Travel Baseball. You can do all 3 if you want but you are not required to do so.
PLEASE NOTE: All players, playing in the travel program, are responsible for purchasing their own uniform from Farriers Sporting Goods in Wyckoff.
