Steve Stanley

Steve Stanley was born in Columbus, Ohio and began his career in the North Columbus Baseball Club at age 10. In 1990, he played in the CABA Little League World Series in Aurelia, Iowa. His team placed 3rd behind California and Hawaii and his love for the game was established.
Each year after that, from ages 11 to 16, Steve played in national tournaments around the Midwest amongst many of the best players in the country. In 1994, he was the Dizzy Dean World Series MVP in Atlanta, Georgia. Steve went on to compete in high school and was a three time first team All-State selection.

In the fall of 1998, his senior season, he signed a letter of intent to play at the University of Notre Dame under coach Paul Mainieri (Current LSU head coach) and the Fighting Irish. During his time at Notre Dame, Steve rewrote the record book by accumulating the third most hits in the history of the NCAA which still stands today. He was a consensus first team All-American in 2002 and he was a finalist for the National Player of the Year award. Steve was the Big East Player of the Year two years in a row and is the only player in the history of the conference to accomplish that feat.

Steve was dubbed the “Roy Jones of College Baseball” by Baseball America (best pound for pound player in the country). He was also noted in Baseball America as being one of the nation’s three fastest runners and was clocked at 3.65 seconds from home to first. He also started all 256 games of his Notre Dame career which is the second longest streak in NCAA history.
After leading his team to the College World Series in 2002, he was selected in the 2nd round of the MLB first year players draft by the Oakland Athletics. He was in the famed “Moneyball” draft with the likes of Nick Swisher, Joe Blanton, John Baker, Mark Teahen and others. He spent 5 years in the minor leagues and ascended to AAA before hanging up his cleats. He won championships in AA and AAA and was selected as a AA mid-season all-star in the Texas League.

Wade Hinkle

Wade Hinkle was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He started playing baseball at the age of 5. The passion for the game continued, while the hard work and determination paved his path. His dad put a batting cage up in the backyard where he spent hours on end perfecting his mechanics and swing. This routine became habit, which led to him being a 3 year Varsity player, producing noticeable numbers. He was 1st Team All State two consecutive years, while leading the state in BA and HR his senior year! Wade would say one of the more memorable parts of high school baseball would be receiving New Mexico Gatorade Player of the year award in 2008.

After playing 2 years at Cochise Community College focusing on advancing his skills, Wade was offered a full-ride scholarship to Kansas State University. While there, he became a well-rounded player; both mentally and physically. In June of 2012 he was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels. In his first professional season he hit .338 with 15 home runs in a short season and becoming a postseason All-Star which led to him being called a "diamond in the rough of the Angels farm system" by 247Sports.com. Making a name for himself, he progressed through the Angels farm system and in 2015 he reached Double A. In spring of 2016, he joined the Detroit Tigers organization, being assigned to the High A roster. After spending the year there, he finished the 2017 season with the Tigers Double A affiliate. With the 2017 season ending, Wade decided he was ready to retire from professional baseball to begin a new chapter in his life. Wade’s focus now, is to help build the next generation of professional baseball players on and off the field through private hitting lessons and as an instructor with Impact Baseball Academy.
