UPDATED TIME-State Championship Saturday in LIVINGSTON

Livingston Little League 11's have WON the Section 2 Championship defeating Hoboken Monday night 5-1 in Ft. Lee!

After falling behind 1-0 in the top of the first Livingston stormed back with 2 runs in the bottom of the inning. Mack Dockx had a sac fly in the first. Heading into the bottom of the 5th the score was still 2-1. Livingston scored 3 huge insurance runs, highlighted by a Christian Giordano double belted over the left fielders head, giving Nat Vays a little wiggle room on the mound. Nearing his limit of 85 pitches, Nate allowed the first two batters in the top of the 6th to reach and advance to 2nd and 3rd. However, he then struck out his last batter by throwing a high heater past him. In total Nate pitched 5 1/3 beautiful innings! Ryan Zhu came on to earn the save by striking out the next batter on 3 pitches and then inducing a routine grounder to SS to close out the Championship!

Next up is the State Tournament which Livingston Little League will be hosting starting this Saturday! Come support our boys and their coaches! UPDATED TIMES
