Loretta Vogel
Coaches Bio: Loretta Vogel comes to High Performance VBA with over 42 years of coaching experience including high school, club, and head coaching experience at the National Collegiate Athletic Association  (NCAA) level. Loretta is currently the varsity volleyball coach and program director at Mercy High School. In 2016 the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) honored  Loretta in Nebraska with the Victory Club Award for her 1,100 wins as a high school coach. In 2012 Loretta became the sixth high school coach in Michigan to reach 1,000 wins. She was inducted into the Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2014. Loretta’s vast club volleyball experience will be an asset as she was a founding member of Next Generation Volleyball Club, Legacy Volleyball Club, Unified Volleyball Club, and WOW Volleyball Club. Loretta's passion is volleyball instruction and meticulous attention to technique. Effective 8/1/18

Ross Talbott
Coaching Bio: Welcome coach Ross. Ross joins HPVBA as a highly respected coach in the volleyball community. He has 15 years of coaching experience as well as 25+ years of experience playing competitive volleyball. Ross has coached club for a couple other clubs in his career and is currently the Varsity coach at Rochester Stoney Creek High School. Ross has been with Stoney Creek for the past 4 years. Ross comes to HP as a lead trainer, age group coordinator a National level Coach for 14 years. He has coached at all levels including high school varsity and sub varsity as well as middle school ages. In the past Ross has also coached at Waterford Kettering High and Lake Orion High.

Ross looks to instill in my athletes the dedication, desire, and willingness to be the best student-athlete they can be. He wants them to walk away from the program having learned life lessons about themselves, how far can they push themselves to achieve every dream and goal a player may have.

Jessica Higbee
Coaches Bio: Coach Jessica has 9 years of coaching experience and over 15 years of playing the sport of volleyball.  In addition to coaching club ball, Jessica has been a 4 year Varsity Volleyball coach for Clawson High School.  In her time there, her team has won 2 back to back League Championships and many tournament division wins.  Hosting tournaments and running camps for all ages are one of her favorite things to do as coach.  Watching her girls learn a new skill and actually put it to use on the court during a game is what she, as a coach, looks forward to most throughout her seasons.  Jessica continues her volleyball passion by playing in multiple leagues and competitive tournaments all 12 months of the year.  Most people that know her would say that volleyball is top of the list when it comes to her hobbies in life!

Karmen
Coaching Bio: Karmen has been playing volleyball since 2008 and has been coaching since 2014. Karmen has coached everything from clinics, private lessons, school teams, and club teams. In 2017, Karmen was the head coach at Our Lady of Refuge and led the team to win districts. Karmen played at Rochester College for a couple years until she decided she’d rather share her love for the game with young players instead. Although she doesn’t play at Rochester anymore, she continues to play on rec leagues. Karmen currently coaches the freshmen team at Waterford Kettering High School. Karmen is well known as a dedicated and passionate volleyball coach/player who looks forward to sharing her knowledge and love for the game.
