Parents’ Responsibilities:
We encourage parents to stay involved throughout the season. For many of the parents and children, this is their first exposure to soccer. As such, we expect that there will be questions and uncertainties. We are always available before and after practices to answer questions if the parents or players do not feel comfortable discussing issues during the practices or games. This website is another mechanism that we will use to further try to assist parents in getting acclimated to the world of soccer. Our goal for each season is that it be a fun learning experience that lays the foundation for your player’s future soccer endeavors.
Parents should always demonstrate good sportsmanship to set an example for the children of the Dauphin/Middle Paxton Soccer Association.
Volunteers are important to the success of the Dauphin/Middle Paxton Soccer Association. Areas for involvement include: coaches, assistant coaches, team parents, concession stand workers, and field maintenance helpers.
Fundraising is also important so we ask that you actively support your child when it comes time for our fundraising events.
Player Equipment:- Shin guards MUST be worn under socks during all practices and games.
- Soccer shoes are not required, but if worn they should have rubber, plastic or aluminum-tipped soccer studs. Spikes, metal cleats, or other such dangerous shoes are not permitted. Cleats from other sports do not necessarily meet the requirements for soccer usage so if you have questions as to whether or not your child’s cleats are acceptable please ask your team coach or send an email to us so that we can verify with our referee committee member.
- Players should bring a water bottle to every game and practice to ensure proper hydration.
- No jewelry is permitted to be worn by players while on the fields for practice or for games.
