CVLL Opening Ceremony is Saturday, March 9th at 10:00 am

Our Opening Day Ceremony will be held Saturday, March 8th at 10am on Mehl Park’s Field #2. All players need to meet with their team by 9:15am before taking the field.

We will have a DJ, a tent to provide shade near the snack bar with extra tables and chairs. Make sure to say hi to our sponsors that will be there during our Opening Ceremony.

The Snack Bar will be in full operation from 8am to 9:30pm. Every purchase helps support the league. The snack bar offers more than just snacks! Stop by for warm pretzels, nachos, mini pizzas, corn dogs, and hot dogs. Starting at 10:30am, the grill will be fired up for delicious burgers, too!

Remember, when it’s your family’s turn to provide post-game snacks, consider treating the team to a trip to the snack bar with player tickets. Each $2.50 ticket gives a player their choice of snack—chips, popcorn, muffin, candy, or ice cream—along with a small fountain drink.

If you have baseball gear that still has life in it, please consider donating it to the CVLL’s Gear Swap table, located near the snack bar area. Families are welcome to take a look at what’s available and take something home free of charge! The tables will be up from 7am until 6pm - just look for the GEAR SWAP sign! All gear leftover will be donated.

It will be a very busy day with games starting at 8 am and continuing after the Ceremony into the late evening. We hope you are all planning to join us!

PARKING

There will be soccer activity at the park, so if you are not playing an early game we recommend planning to get to the park early. All other players should plan to arrive by 9am to give yourselves plenty of time to find parking and to find your team. Every year we end up with a handful of cars parked out along River Rd. If at all possible, see if you can coordinate a carpool. **Please note that parking beyond the black & yellow gate on the west side of the building is reserved for Board Members, Snack Bar Employees, and Umpires Only. Please do not park in front of or beyond the gate - Thank you!
