Nebraska Little League Area Tournament

Kearney Little League plays host to one of the three area tournaments that are part of the 2023 Nebraska Little League State Tournament.

Here is the schedule:

Wednesday, July 5th
Game #1 - Minors - Kearney vs Hastings
6:00 PM on Loyalty Field (#4)
Game #2 - Majors - Hastings vs Kearney
8:00 PM on the Championship Field (#3)
Thursday, July 6th
Game #3 - Minors - Hastings vs Grand Island
6:00 PM on Loyalty Field (#4)
Game #4 - Majors - Grand Island vs Hastings
8:00 PM on the Championship Field (#3)
Friday, July 7th
Game #5 - Minors - Kearney vs Grand Island

The top two teams in each division advance to the State Tournament in Blair, Nebraska, which begins on Thursday, July 13th and concludes on Sunday, July 23rd.

The State Champion in the Majors division advances to the Little League Midwest Region tournament, which takes place August 4th to 11th in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Midwest Region is made up of the state champions from Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

The champion of the Midwest Region advances to the Little League World Series, played in Williamsport, Pennsylvania August 16th to 27th. Of the 37 games during the Series, 31 games will be televised on ESPN, 3 will be on ESPN 2, and 3 will be on ABC.

The U.S. Championship Game will be televised on ABC at 11:30 AM CDT on Saturday, August 26th. The Little League World Series Championship Game will be televised on ABC on Sunday, August 27th at 2:00 PM CDT.
