For players with a league-age of 8 and higher:

Saturday, March 9^th – Skills Assessment at Patriot Park
·         13+ check-in is at 8:30 am; Assessment runs from 9:00-10:00
·         12s check-in is at 9:30 am; Assessment runs from 10:00 to 11:00
·         11s check-in is at 10:30 am; Assessment runs from 11:00 to Noon
·         10s check in is at 12:30 pm; Assessment runs from 1:00 to 2:00
·         9s check-in is at 1:30 pm; Assessment runs from 2:00 to 3:00
·         8s check-in is at 2:30 pm; Assessment runs from 3:00 to 4:00
·         PLAYERS WITH A LEAGUE-AGE OF 6 and 7 DO NOT HAVE A SKILLS ASSESSMENT
·         Parents are asked to be on-site at Patriot Park by the end of their player’s session.

Wednesday, March 27^th – Managers & Coaches Meeting
·         At this meeting, in addition to Safety and Coach Training, the managers will be given their rosters with contact info, and draw for
          their practice times.  Players can expect a call by March 30th.
·         Each team will have one weekday evening practice time and one weekend practice time.
·         Pre-season practices will run from March 30^th to either May 5^th or 12^th – depending on the game schedules, which depend on the
          ultimate  number of registrants and teams in each division.

Saturday, March 30th – Pre-Season Practices Begin

Tuesday, April 30th or Monday, May 6th – Regular Season Begins (concurrently, the weeknight practice times end)

Tuesday, June 18th - Home Run Derby for players age 9-12

Wednesday, June 19th – All Star Games for the Minors AAA and Majors Divisions

Monday, June 24th – All Star Game for the Junior/Senior Division

Thursday, June 27th – Last Scheduled Games in the Regular Season
·         Regular season may be extended if there is an excessive number of rainout makeup games.

 FOLLOWING THE CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR SEASON, THE TOURNAMENT SEASON BEGINS.  KEARNEY LITTLE LEAGUE INTENDS TO SEND A TEAM TO BOTH THE MINORS (AGE 10) AND MAJORS (AGE 11 & 12) STATE TOURNAMENTS. 

THESE TOURNAMENTS WILL BE PLAYED ON THREE CONSECUTIVE WEEKENDS, BEGINNING WITH THE WEEKEND OF JULY 5^th-7^th.  THE FIRST WEEKEND INVOLVES TWO GAMES FOR EACH KEARNEY TEAM, AND WILL BE PLAYED IN HASTINGS.  THE REMAINDER OF EACH TOURNAMENT WILL BE PLAYED AT PATRIOT PARK IN KEARNEY.  THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES IN BOTH THE MINORS AND MAJORS TOURNAMENTS ARE SCHEDULED TO BE PLAYED ON SUNDAY, JULY 21st.

FOR THE MINORS, THE BASEBALL SEASON CULMINATES WITH THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.  FOR THE MAJORS, THE STATE CHAMPION ADVANCES TO THE LITTLE LEAGUE MIDWEST REGIONAL.  THIS IS PLAYED IN INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA AND IS SCHEDULED TO RUN FROM AUGUST 2^nd to 9^th.  THE MIDWEST CHAMPION ADVANCES TO THE LITTLE LEAGUE WORLD SERIES, PLAYED IN WILLIAMSPORT, PENNSYLVANIA FROM AUGUST 14^th to 25^th.

For players with a league-age of 6 or 7:
The Managers & Coaches Meeting will take place on Wednesday, May 15^th.  At this meeting, the managers will be given their rosters and schedules.  Players’ parents can expect a call by Monday, May 20^th.

The season for these age groups involves a mix of practices and games.  These will be mostly on Mondays and Thursdays, with one exception due to Memorial Day.
