FREE PITCHING CLINICS
Kearney Little League is hosting a series of free pitching clinics for players who participated in the Minors and Majors divisions this season. Players with a league-age of 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 are all invited to learn and practice fundamental pitching mechanics in a fun and focused setting.
When
Players may attend any session or sessions, and are encouraged to attend all three if possible.
Session 1 – Tuesday, August 15th from 6:15 to 7:30 pm
Session 2 – Tuesday, August 22nd from 6:15 to 7:30 pm
Session 3 – Tuesday, August 29th from 6:15 to 7:30 pm
Where
When weather permits, we will use Patriot Diamonds #3 and 4. Players are encouraged to wear cleats.
If fields are unplayable we will use the Patriot Park indoor facility. Players must wear tennis shoes – not cleats – for any indoor sessions.
What Time
After a quick check-in at the concession pavilion at 6:15, the sessions will begin at 6:30. Each session is scheduled to conclude at 7:30. Players may stay until 8:00 for additional work and instruction if desired.
What to Bring
Each player should wear a baseball hat and glove, and bring their own catcher (a parent, sibling* or friend*). Catcher also needs a glove, but it need not be a catcher’s mitt. If desired or needed, catchers may also bring a bucket to sit on.
Objective
These clinics are intended to provide players with instruction, information, and positive motivation that will help them continue to develop their pitching prowess during the off-season.
*Catching partners under age 19 must have been registered to play in Kearney Little League in 2023.
