1.) What are the divisions in Santa Fe Little League?
 
Baseball
 
T-Ball - Ages 3 1/2 to 4 
(some 5 year olds will be accepted due to skill and experience levels)
 
Minors Coach Pitch - Ages 5-6
(Some 7 year olds will be accepted due to skill and experience level)
 
Minors Player Pitch - Ages 7-9
(Some 10 year olds will be accepted due to skill and experience level)
 
Majors - Ages 10-12
 
Intermediate 50/70 - Ages 11-13
 
Juniors/Seniors - Ages 13-16
 
Softball 
 
Minors Coach Pitch - Ages 6-8
(Some 5 year olds will be accepted given they had one year in T-Ball)
 
Minors Player Pitch - Ages 7-9
(Some 6 year olds will be accepted given they played one year in coach pitch or skill and experience level is suitable)

2.) I heard Santa Fe Little League is not competitive and I want my child to play in a competitive league to develop. 
 
All though Santa Fe Little League is a “recreational league” we have made changes to develop players and increase the competition levels within our league. We have also established opportunities for players and teams who want to see tougher competition by scheduling inter-league play with teams from other leagues. 
 
3.) What are the registration fees?
 
$50 for the first child
$40 for any siblings 
 
At your first practice you will receive raffle tickets and have an opportunity to sell and keep the money as a way to reimburse your registration costs. 
 
4.) Where do I register?
 
Registration is open on our website 24/7 between January 1st and March 15th. Please follow our website and social media pages on Facebook and Instagram for in-person registration dates, times, and locations.
 
5.) When does the season begin?
 
Practices will start around April 1st each year. Coaches and teams will be established by March 15th each year and games will start in the middle of April. The season ends the first week in June and All-Star tournaments will last until the end of June. If the All-Star teams are successful their season could last through July and into August.
 
6.) When are practices?
 
Practice schedules are decided by the coach however the majority of practices start after 5:30 pm. Because our coaches are volunteers we allow the coaches to work with parents to establish a working practice schedule for all players, parents, and coaches. Baseball is a difficult sport and requires practice and experience to develop. T-Ball and Coach Pitch division may practice 2-3 times a week before games start in April. However, as the players advance into older divisions practice could be 3-4 times a week before games start in April.
 
7.) When are games?
 
Game schedules will be released by the end of March each year. This will depend on inter-league schedules and blackout dates. Weekday games will be Monday - Thursday starting at 5:30pm. Older divisions will play on some  Fridays and Saturdays. 
 
7.) I can not afford to pay the registration fee. Can my child still play?
 
Please reach out to a Santa Fe Little League representative and explain your situation to them. We work closely with parents and guardians of our players to assure all kids have an opportunity to play baseball and softball.

10.) What is inter-league play?
 
Inter-league play is an agreement and schedule of games between Santa Fe Little League and other Little Leagues in surrounding communities including Las Vegas, Taos, Los Alamos, Eapanola, Pojoaque, Rio Rancho, Bernalillo, and Albuquerque. Think travel ball without the additional cost for playing the game.
