Registration Fee 2022-2023 Season: $20 tryout fee (paid when registering for tryouts), $350 registration fee (paid after the player makes the team)  

Information about or travel teams (HEAT Hoops): 

Our travel teams play in the highly competitive ICBA Travel League.  We typically field teams in both boys (grades 3rd thru 9th) and girls (grades 4th thru 8th) age groups. Participation on a travel team requires a commitment, as there may be two practices a week during pre-season and then travel games weekly for the months of December, January and February.

The ICBA League enforces an August 1st birthday cut-off for each age group, although there can be three age exemptions per team.  Visit the ICBA Rules Page to learn more information about the age/grade-based divisions: Inter-County Basketball Association | ICBA Rules (icbabasketball.com)

It is recommended that travel players in 3rd & 4th grade play in the Upper Makefield Newtown intramural program. No intramural registration is required because the travel fees cover the cost intramural fees. Our registrar will reach out to you to confirm your child's participation in the intramural program once travel tryouts are complete. 

Travel players must live in the Council Rock School District School and/or attend Newtown Friends or George School.

We will post the dates, times, and locations of tryouts once our gym space is confirmed from the school district. Tryouts will occur in mid-September this season. 

Travel teams typically have no more than 10-players per team (maximum of 12 players are allowed on a roster).
