CSRA Heat Volleyball Club

Athlete Recognition

The Heat is very proud of its history in developing high level coaches and athletes that continue beyond their high school years. Working with families to develop strong, well-rounded young people, we encourage students to focus on their academics first and foremost as they prepare to become high-level athletes.

Over the years, we have been happy to celebrate the accomplishments of our current players and alumnae alike. Many of our athletes have chosen to continue playing competitively at the collegiate level, to coach at high schools in our area, or to coach with other club programs during and after college as they relocate. The Heat loves supporting our developing leaders, and even has a Coaches' Scholarship for college that we award to a graduating senior in honor of their academic and athletic accomplishments.

Heat Coaches' College Scholarship

The CSRA Heat Junior Olympic Volleyball Club Coaches’ Scholarship is selected primarily on the basis of leadership potential, commitment to and involvement with CSRA Heat programs, high academic achievement, and prospects for continuing academic success and community involvement. The Scholarship Committee is made up of Heat coaches and staff who review applications and essay submissions. Seniors in high school currently participating with the CSRA Heat as either a player or as a coach are eligible to apply.
This college scholarship is funded in large part by coaches' donations and fundraising efforts. Applications are distributed in December, and the decision is made by April 1st.

Class of 2018 Recipient: Maggie Ristroph, Aquinas High School
