CITY OF SMYRNA CITY PARK FEES:
All participants will be charged a $40 city park fee for use of the City of Smyrna parks/fields. This is a City Fee and directly goes back to the City of Smyrna.
If you are a City of Smyrna resident, you are eligible for a $25 reimbursement. Please submit a copy of your most recent City of Smyrna water bill or city of Smyrna tax bill. All requests should be made by October 1 at the latest. This reimbursement can be in one of the following forms:
1) $25 credit back to your credit card from your online registration
2) $25 credit towards your next soccer season
Please scan & email a copy of your City of Smyrna water/tax bill and your requested method of reimbursement to [email protected].
UNIFORMS
Uniforms are NOT included in registration costs. Uniforms are a separate purchase and bought through www.soccer.com. A uniform kit through Soccer.com is roughly about $50-60. Older age groups (U10 and up), will be required to select a number. You can choose any number you would like.
All players will need the following:
Blue (Home) and White (Away) jerseys- purchase through www.soccer.com (direct link https://www.soccer.com/club/21722348)
Black shorts- purchase at retailer of choice (soccer.com preferred)
Black socks- purchase at retailer of choice (soccer.com preferred)
Shin guards & Cleats- purchase at retailer of choice

WHEN DO WE PRACTICE AND PLAY?
Practices take place primarily at either Jonquil Park or Riverline Park. Parents can indicate their park preference when registering their child
U4-U6 teams practice once a week for an hour, with a start time of 6:00 PM
U7 and U8 teams practice once a week for an hour, with start times either at 6:00 PM or 7:00 PM
U10 and older teams practice twice a week for an hour, with start times either at 6:00 PM or 7:00 PM
Full practice schedules will be posted one week prior to the first day of practice. Please note that practice dates and times are determined by the coaches of our teams. All practices are conducted from Monday-Thursday with games mostly on Saturdays. Occasionally Sunday games will be played due to rain-out make-ups or Inter-Club (older age group) scheduled play.
Older Age Group Info (U12 and Older)
Children in age groups U14 and older will be placed within Georgia Soccer’s RIAS system, which places recreational teams in to regional scheduling. All players in these age groups will be sorted by birth year, rather than school year (see the age group chart above). All U12 teams will not be placed in Georgia Soccer’s RIAS system, but may be inter scheduled where possible with other clubs or locations to provide our teams with a greater variety in competition.
VOLUNTEERS (COACHES/MANAGERS/ETC) – HOW CAN I HELP?
Smyrna Soccer Club’s Recreational program is run with the assistance of volunteer coaches. Coaches for our club are provided with free material (such as a coach’s shirt, balls, pinnies, and cones) and access to a library of drills and practice plans that can assist you with your team’s training sessions. Volunteers for the club are the backbone of the program and it can be hugely rewarding for both yourself and your child to help with their soccer progression.
