Recreation basketball is a joint program with a neighboring town(s). The goal of Recreation basketball is to teach players the fundamentals of the game as well as good sportsmanship. All players are guaranteed playing time. The Recreation program is open to all children in grades K through 12th living, or attending school, in Midland Park. The league runs from January through March. Teams will be contacted by their coach near the end of December with information about schedules. T-shirts will be provided to players as their uniform.
Coaching - Each recreation team is in NEED of at least one volunteer parent to coach. MPBA does not have the resources to coach teams. A team can’t begin practices until a coach is in place. In the event a team does not have a coach in place by the time practices are set to begin, MPBA reserves the right to disband the team, and will refund registration payments. Contact MPBA for more information if you want to coach.
