What is the Barcelona USA MD program?

The program is designed to identify and develop the most talented players in the DC Metro area. The goal is to help every player reach his full potential.

How does the Barcelona program differ from other local programs?

Most local areas offer only recreational programs led by volunteer coaches and/or parent volunteers.  Our licensed coaches follow a specific program style and curriculum throughout the entire year.  This provides a structural foundation that serves every type of player that will help them to advance to compete at the highest-level competition.

What is the disadvantage with not offering a competitive program?

Less exposure for talented players and less opportunities for players to advance to Division 1 Colleges, Professional Levels, International Play.

Is traveling involved?

Yes, traveling will be required.  An away game will average between 45 to 90 minutes of travel time. 

Is the program affordable?

The program can be tailored according to the financial needs of each family. Full and partial scholarships can be offered to low income families.

Is the program a full year commitment?

No, the only commitment is to play Fall and Spring. Winter and Summer Sessions will be optional.

Where will training occur?

Training will take place at the Laytonia Soccer fields for the Fall 2018/Spring 2019 season.

Will there be tryouts?

Yes, tryouts are YEAR ROUND.
