FAQ

What color are uniforms this season?
Each team will have their own color. Jerseys are one sided.
 
What is the cost of registration?
Early registration is $89 by February 17. Standard registration is $99 after February 17.
 
Are there any sibling discounts?
Yes.  Each sibling is an additional $10 off registration.
 
Do you offer any other discounts?  
Yes.  Volunteers receive $10 off their account the following season. 
 
Do you offer scholarships for athletes?
Yes.  We have a scholarships available upon request.  This does not guarantee a scholarship but our staff will review the request and do everything we can to assist.  Email [email protected] for more information with a Subject line: "Scholarship Request". NOTE: All scholarships require varying volunteer roles.
 
When is the registration deadline?  
Registration ends 2/29/20
 
What all does my athlete receive after registering?  
All athletes get a first class sports experience.  Our league focuses on what we call the 360 progression of each athlete.  This includes developing the athlete mentally, athletically, socially, and spiritually.  In addition, athletes will receive a player kit, which includes their a uniform, socks (soccer only), and flags (football only). Shorts are an optional purchase at registration.
 
 
Are coaches background checked?  
Yes.  All of our coaches and referees are background checked prior to serving.
 
When and where are practices held?  
Practices are held on Monday or Tuesday evenings from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at 2185 Golden Heights Rd. Fort Worth, TX 76177.  The practice night your athlete is on will depend on which team they are assigned.  Please check your roster for practice night information. Our first practices will be February 23 & 24
 
What should my child wear to practice?  
For soccer, we suggest your child wear athletic clothing, soccer cleats, and shin guards on practice nights to ensure proper performance and safety.  For flag football, we suggest your child wear athletic clothing and football cleats for proper performance.
 
When and where are games played?
Games are played on Saturday mornings at either 9:00 or 10:15 a.m. at 2185 Golden Heights Rd. Fort Worth, TX 76177.  Refer to your athletes schedule for specific game times and field number.  Our first game will be March 2.
 
What should my child wear for game day?  
All athletes are required to wear their uniform on game days.  In addition, soccer athletes are required to wear shin guards and flag football athletes are required to wear mouth guards. This ensures safety for all athletes.  Cleats are suggested but not mandatory for all sports.
 
How many practices and games will my athlete have each week?  
For convenience, athletes have one practice and one game per week, unless the coach opts for additional optional practice time. 
 
Will we have a picture day?  
Yes.  Dates for the picture day will be sent to all participants.  Please check emails to ensure you know the correct date.
 
What should my child wear on picture day?  
Athletes should dress in game day attire on picture day.
 
When can I expect to receive my athletes coach information, roster, and schedule?
We try to get this to all participants ASAP.  You can expect to receive this information within 10 days after the last evaluation date.
 
When can my athlete expect to receive their player kit?  
Athletes will receive their player kits at the last practice prior to the first game. 
 
How will I receive information about the league throughout the season?  
We try to offer multiple means of communication.  We utilize email and text messaging as our main sources of league-wide communication.  In addition, each coach will have their own form of communicating that works best for them and their team.
 
What happens if a practice or game day gets rained out?
You will be notified ASAP via text, email, and Facebook if we have to cancel practice or games due to inclement weather or field damage caused by inclement weather (i.e. wet or muddy fields). Practices that are canceled will not be made up. However, we will have a make-up game day after the last game. Dates for these are provided to parents prior to the beginning of the season. See registration details at the top of the page for current season dates.

Rules of conduct for ACF Sports Complex:

  • Trash: Keep all trash picked up off the grounds along both sides of the fence and parking lot. Grounds and facilities are to be kept clean at all times. Put all trash (especially used tape) in trash containers. If trash is left by players/fans from a previous practice, games or clinic, it must be picked up by the most current group. An “it is not mine” attitude is unacceptable.
  • Do not climb on the fence: This is a safety issue. Use the gate to enter the complex.
  • Field usage: All use of the field must have prior approval from ACF. No unscheduled play, free play or non-approved play is permitted.
  • Events: All events must be scheduled and approved by ACF and added to ACF’s annual calendar. No additional events will be scheduled without ACF’s approval.
  • Weapons: Firearm policies comply with Texas State Law.
  • Drugs and alcohol: Drugs and/or alcohol are prohibited on the Property.
  • No tobacco: Use of tobacco is prohibited on the Property, including Vapor devices.
  • No pets: Pets are prohibited on the Property.
  • Dress code: Decency is required. No attire with offensive language or slogans is allowed.
  • Signage code: All publicity signs must be approved by ACF.
