Cactus Shadows Lacrosse

General Info

Lacrosse at the high-school level is considered a "club" sport. The Cactus Shadows High School lacrosse teams are backed by Desert Foothills Athletic Club, a 501(c)(3) that has been active in youth sports in the Cave Creek area for more than 30 years. Along with very dedicated coaches and parents, we are proud to bring lacrosse to Cactus Shadows High School.

The 2021-2022 school year was a banner season for our varsity team who made it to the Championship game! The 2022-2023 will be our 6th season for girls, expecting both JV and Varsity teams. Students living inside the CSHS boundaries attending a school that does not have a lacrosse program can play for the Falcon lacrosse team. Regular season is Winter/Spring with the Arizona Girls Lacrosse Association. During the "off" season, girls can still participate in our Fall and Summer programs.

Girls Fall Program

Girls grades 9-12
Program runs September 12-December 7
Practices Mondays & Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00 at CSHS Practice Field (located at CCUSD district office)
Southwest Classic tournament October 29
Lax4Life tournament in December
Additional $32 to purchase a practice pinnie if you don't already have one

COST: $200

IMPORTANT: Valid USA Lacrosse Membership REQUIRED prior to registering.

a note from coach madison

I am from Corona, California. I first picked up a stick in the 7th grade and haven't put it down since. In high school, I was a starting Varsity member where I played Defense, Midfield, and Attack. I traveled with OC United during the summer and fall, playing on the national team. I got a scholarship to play DII lacrosse at Colorado State University- Pueblo where I earned my B.S. in Psychology. I earned 2-team All RMAC for defenders my senior year. While in Colorado, I coached the youth program as well as high school. I look forward to watching our sport grow more out west!
