BSMFA acts as a feeder program for the high school football teams and cheerleading squads. However, it is not directly affiliated with the Big Spring School District . Our program is run entirely by volunteers and receives no financial support from the school district.
Why should my child join? Big Spring Midget Football strives to provide a positive athletic experience. Our purpose is to develop good sportsmanship, character, attitude and teamwork in the participants, so that they become healthier and happier members of our community. We are also working close with the High school Head coach to prepare our athletes to move on and be ready for them Friday night lights.
How are children separated into teams?
Football Teams are organized by age groups.
Cheerleaders are organized by grade.
Participant must be 5 years old by April 30, and no older than 13 on April 30. There is also a weight component for smurf football.
