Welcome to Ceredo-Kenova Little League!
Our goal is to provide a safe, fun, and competitive environment where children can learn the game of baseball and softball, build character, and develop lifelong skills. To ensure fair play and a positive experience for all players, families, coaches, and spectators, we ask everyone to follow the rules and guidelines below.
π§’ 1. Player Eligibility

C-K Little League is open to boys and girls who meet Little League International age requirements for their respective divisions.

Players must reside or attend school within the boundaries of Ceredo-Kenova Little League to be eligible.

Proof of age and residency/school enrollment must be provided at registration.
βΎ 2. Divisions of Play
Our league offers age-appropriate divisions for baseball and softball, including:
Players are placed in divisions based on league age and skill level to promote safety and development.
π 3. Registration & Team Assignments

All players must be registered by the posted deadline. Late registrations may be accepted only if space allows.

Teams are drafted or assigned based on age, skill, and roster needs.

Requests for specific teammates or coaches will be considered but cannot be guaranteed.
π¨βπ« 4. Coaches & Volunteers

All managers, coaches, and volunteers must complete the two-step background check process before participating.

Coaches are expected to uphold the values of sportsmanship, safety, and player development.

Only approved coaches and team staff are permitted in dugouts or on the field during games and practices.
βοΈ 5. Game Rules

All games are played in accordance with Official Little League Baseball and Softball Rules as published by Little League International.

Local rules may apply to address field conditions, time limits, or division-specific modifications. These will be communicated prior to the season.

Umpiresβ decisions are final on the field. Protests must follow league procedures.
β±οΈ 6. Attendance & Participation

Players are expected to attend all scheduled practices and games. Repeated unexcused absences may affect playing time.

All players will receive minimum required playing time as outlined by Little League International.

Coaches should strive for balanced opportunities for all players, especially in instructional divisions.
π§€ 7. Safety Rules

Players must wear proper uniforms and safety gear (helmets, catcherβs gear, etc.) at all practices and games.

No jewelry (except medical alerts) is allowed on the field.

Only league-approved bats and equipment may be used.

A first-aid kit and emergency contact info must be available at every game and practice.

Encourage all players and applaud good sportsmanship β for both teams.

Negative behavior such as yelling at officials, players, or coaches will not be tolerated.

Alcohol, tobacco, and vaping are strictly prohibited on league property.

Spectators must remain in designated areas and avoid coaching from the sidelines.
π οΈ 9. Field & Facility Use

Teams and spectators are responsible for keeping facilities clean and trash-free.

Players, coaches, and families are expected to respect league property and equipment.

Field usage outside of scheduled practices or games must be approved by league officials.
πΈ 10. Fees & Refunds

Registration fees help cover uniforms, insurance, field maintenance, and equipment.

Refund requests must be submitted in writing prior to the start of the season. Once games have begun, refunds are not guaranteed.
β οΈ 11. Discipline & Enforcement

Violations of league rules, unsportsmanlike conduct, or safety concerns may result in warnings, suspensions, or removal from the league.

All disciplinary actions are determined by the C-K Little League Board of Directors.

These local rules are subject to change based on field conditions, league needs, or updates from Little League International. Any changes will be communicated to families prior to implementation.
