Volunteer Opportunities

OTP is a completely volunteer-run organization that relies heavily on the support of our parents. In order to ensure this season runs smoothly, we would like you to consider applying for one of the following open positions (descriptions lower on the page).

President: The President shall schedule and preside over all Board of Directors Meetings, the Annual Election meeting and any Special Meetings; shall fill vacancies on the Board of Directors as permitted herein; shall appoint a Chairman for each of the standing committees; shall appoint such additional committees as he or the general membership shall consider expedient; shall represent the Organization at all league meetings during the year; shall schedule and approve all preseason or postseason games; shall assume responsibility for overseeing all Board activities; shall, when duly authorized by the Board, sign and execute all contracts in the name of the Organization; shall approve all expenditures of the organization's funds; shall ensure timely completion of Organization duties; shall approve all fundraising projects, pending subsequent Board ratification; shall have full authority to suspend any football or cheer leading coach, assistant coach, volunteer, participant or other Organization official for a violation of either the Organization's or League Rules, Code of Conduct, or for any action deemed inappropriate in competitive sports, provided that, in the event of a suspension, the President must call a Board Meeting within seventy-two (72) hours of taking such action to consider the propriety of same; shall obtain referees for all home games in accordance with League Rules; and shall schedule and preside over all General Membership Meetings; shall see that all orders and resolutions of the Board are carried into effect.

Treasurer: The Treasurer shall have the care and custody of the funds and securities of the Organization, and shall deposit said funds in the name of the Organization in such bank as the Board may direct; keep accurate accounts; shall collect all dues and charges from members; shall have charge of all receipts and monies of the Organization; shall disburse funds as authorized by the Board; shall sign all checks for the payment , which shall be duly authorized by the Board ; shall at all reasonable times exhibit the books and accounts to any director or paid member of the Organization and, at the end of each corporate year, shall have an audit of the accounts of the Organization made by a committee appointed by the President, and shall present such audit in writing at the Annual Membership Meeting, at which time he shall also present an annual report setting forth in full the financial conditions of the Organization. 

Head or Assistant Coach: Additional certification training will be required for both football and cheer coaches. Football experience and knowledge of the game is vital to ensure the players are given proper instruction in order to participate safely and develop for head football coach. We are currently looking for head coaches and Assistant Coach for Football and Cheer. 

Team Parent (Mom or Dad): This position is critical to the success of each team's season. This person communicates information from the coaches and league on to the parents and helps coordinates game day volunteers. This position is also in charge of putting together the team book, which provides all the required paperwork for each player on the team (a Pop Warner requirement). Training will be provided by OTP Pop Warner in mid July and on-going season support from the OTP Team Parent Coordinator.

Team Parents: Communicate volunteer needs / schedule throughout the season.  

Game Day Volunteers: Required at all games; positions range from down markers, work the chains, MPR, run the play clock and cover concessions / merchandise. 

Football & Cheer families are required to volunteer at minimum 2 games per season.
