Green Mountain Junior Baseball Association

Content

Green Mountain Junior Baseball Association (GMJBA) is committed to administering a sponsorship program for each baseball season. Money raised for the sponsorship program by any team will directly benefit that team by defraying team costs. Money raised by GMJBA that is not tied to any particular team helps to reduce the overall costs of operation for GMJBA, which in turn helps to reduce registration fees for all players. The Sponsorship Director shall be responsible to supervise the overall administration of the Sponsorship Program.

Acquisition

  1. Sponsors may be obtained by a member of the GMJBA board, a player, a coach, a parent of a player, or an individual representing a team.

Sponsor Types

  1. Unaffiliated Sponsors are considered a GMJBA sponsor and are not to be contacted by any other member of the GMJBA, including players, coaches, parents of players, or an individual representing a team. An unaffiliated sponsor will be assigned to a team for the purpose of trying to make sure each team in the association has at least one sponsor, when possible. These unaffiliated sponsors will be contacted by the sponsorship director or other member of the GMJBA Board of Directors prior to each season regarding the renewal of their sponsorship. Once an unaffiliated sponsor stops sponsoring a team, they become eligible for contact by any player, coach, parent of a player, or team representative for the purpose of becoming an affiliated sponsor;
  2. Affiliated Sponsors are not considered a GMJBA sponsor and will be assigned to the benefiting team as directed by the sponsor.

Sponsorship Uses

  1. A full sponsor paying a minimum of $250.00 will receive the benefits as described in the Sponsor Benefits Section below.
  2. The cost of placing the first sponsors name on a 3’X 3’ banner will be $50.00 (this is the creation of a new banner). This amount will be deducted from the sponsorship proceeds. If the full sponsor is an affiliated sponsor, the balance of the proceeds will be placed in a sponsorship account to be used by the benefiting team.
  3. A second full affiliated sponsorship wishing to be listed on the Master Banner will have $20.00 deducted from the $250.00 and the balance of proceeds deposited into the benefiting teams sponsorship account. This process maybe repeated until 5 names (full sponsors) are listed on a banner. After the banner is full a new master will be started by the benefiting team.
  4. If the sponsor is an unaffiliated sponsor, the balance of proceeds shall flow to the GMJBA operating account to be used to offset general operating expenses.
  5. A full sponsor may decline being listed on the master banner in which case the entire proceeds of the sponsorship will be placed in a sponsorship account to be used by the benefiting team (affiliated sponsor) or flow to the GMJBA operating account (unaffiliated sponsor).
  6. A partial sponsor will not be entitled to have a banner displayed. If the partial sponsor is an affiliated sponsor, the proceeds will be placed in a sponsorship account to be used by the benefiting team. If the partial sponsor is an unaffiliated sponsor, the proceeds shall flow to the GMJBA operating account to be used to offset general operating expenses.
