Prior to a game on a wet day, you can learn of the status by checking the field status on the website or checking the league’s Instragram/Facebook/Twitter.

1.     League representatives will arrive at the fields as early as practical to assess the initial playability of the fields. The initial decision whether to play games is at their discretion. Once the umpires take the field, that responsibility is theirs.

2.     Umpires have ultimate authority while games are being played.  If one field is cleared because of weather/lightning, all fields will be cleared.

3.     When lightning is not visible, but inclement weather is inevitable (or lightning is less than ten miles away), the board members, after consulting with each other, will alert the umpires to clear the fields until the inclement weather passes.

4.     A quorum of the board members will decide at the time what the allowable wait time to resume play will be—should they decide that the weather is not going to subside or leave the area in a reasonable amount of time, the games may be suspended.

5.     While we will make every effort to play all games, the safety of the players, families and volunteers of the league will not be compromised.
